Please email me, as I don't normally have access to these
groups. I have XP on a new Dell and I'm not use to it... I
checked something that requested XP to do a scandisk upon
next boot - and it's taking hours. I want to ABORT it but
I can't???? There is no exit/stop button.
just a blue screen that says Windows XP in the upper right
and says checking file system on G:
I waited for the whole thing (2+ hours) and now it
says "veryifying free space" and this is even slower yet.
How do I get out of it? I've rebooted 3-4 times and it
just keeps rerunning.
