Hi,

I just want to know how the Encrpytion work in XP Pro, let say I encrpyt
some folder and if someone get my HD and put it as secondary HD on the other
PC. Can they access the encrpyted data? What is the better way to protect
the data.

Thanks!

WinXP's EFS is very effective. Were you to do as you describe,
not even you would be able to access that data. (Well, certainly not
without owning one of the high-powered decryption tools that the NSA
or CIA use, and perhaps not even then.)

If you loose physical control of your hard disk - and if your account doing
the encryption is not from a Domain then the data on the machine is not
completely secure even with EFS.
If you are a stand alone machine and you consider the contents of your hard
disk to be critical and valuable then you should also consider the use of
one of the many third party disk encryption tools.
