How stop POP UP for automatic updates windows xp?

I get annoying pop ups for automatic updates to OE or WinXP.

I do updates, but do NOT automatic updates.

Where do I stop this window?

Go to Help and Support. Type in "automatic update" without the quotation
marks, and check up on the article "Keeping Windows up-to-date
automatically". You will be doing the reversal.
Help and Support is a very useful and quick finder for information on
computing with Windows Just type in anything you want and see for
yourself..

Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Automatic Updates
 
I am totally familiar with Help and do weekly updates of windowsxp at least.

That is not the problem here, of that I am sure.
 
I'm sure that you don't know. Did you at least check the advice given to
you. It is exactly what you must do. Turn off automatic updates. And, your
help/support WILL tell you how to do that!
