I'm emailing a PPT presentation that I want the Open when the addressees
opens or saves (then opens); however, when I sent myself a test - it doesn't
start immediately, I have to click on the slide show icon. Thnx.

Click File > Save as. Under save as type, click on the dropdown and look for
PowerPoint Show (.pps). Click Save. The file should go into slide show
automatically once you have done that.

And to continue tohlz's message, even if you are using PowerPoint (PPT) 2007
use the PPT '97-2003 format for the PPT show (.PPS) instead of 2007's show
extension. This will start as a PPT show in any version of PowerPoint from
'97 to 2007 but if you saved as PPSX extension it wouldn't open in earlier
versions of PowerPoint.
