Could someone please tell me how secure (encrypted?) a connection is from an
XP client (SP2) to a Windows 2003 Server over the internet, please.

Thanks,

Andrew

With MSChapV2 or EAP-TLS the password is very (not
perfectly) secure.

With PPTP encryption of the data the data is reasonable
secure for most ordindary business purposes (but not secure
enough for large monetary or significantly important data.)

With L2TP encrypting the data using IPSec the data is
very secure.

All of the above assumes you passwords and other security
practices are themselves VERY secure.

Generally, it will be easier to attack you through "social
engineering" than by attacking the protocols above directly.

There is NO such thing as a "secure internetwork".

Excellent, perfect thank you very much!
