How search function works?

Doe anyone know how to use the search newsgroup function?
nothing i enter comes up, such as " SECURE " when looking
for problems people have getting to secure web pages.

When I go to Start | Find | Message and enter secure in the subject field I
see 108 messages in this newsgroup and I delete everything over 25 days old.
