How remove old items from my calendar?

I suspect my Outlook is rather full. Is there a way to remove all items in
the calendar before a certain date in the past? I don't want to lose neither
my future appointments and nor entries the last montshs which I use to
reconstruct how time has been spent.

Go to the View menu and set the current view to All Appointments.
Sort by date. Select all the items you want to delete, and delete
them.

Note: If an appointment is referenced from a BCM history, you will not
be able to open the original appointment if it is no longer in Outlook.
