My WXP PRO (SP2) won't remember my 'view settings' in Windows
Explorer.

It always reverts to what it was before my changes when I next open
it.

How can I get Windows Explorer to remember these settings (and maybe
others too)?

Thanks

The procedure is as follows:
open Windows Explorer and choose your favorite view setting - Choose TOOLS
menu - select FOLDER OPTIONS - select VIEW tab - select APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS
- be shure that in the displayed Folder Options, "REMEMBER EACH FOLDER'S VIEW
SETTINGS3 IS ACTIVE (crossed on). All folders should take the same view
setting, the one you choose. I hope this will work out nicely for you.
Unfortunately, this worked well untill I installed SP2. So I have the same
problem.

Who knows what to do about it?
Thank you very much.

I had tried that - but you see I only want 'thumbnails' for the sub
directories that contain graphics. Not all the sub-directories.

In that case, the mark (crossed on) before "remember each folder's view
settings" should do it. The specific setting for each folder will be saved.
But again, this doesn't work anymore after installing SP2.
