Hi,

My Outlook 2002 has been disabled now for awhile, due to an overly large
email stuck in the Outbox (suggestions I got to fix that didn't help).

So now I am biting the bullet and about to reinstall from the disk. I have
the 2002 Office XP Standard disk, but I can't see how to just reinstall
Outlook alone. I tried removing Outlook from the Add/Remove Programs
utility, but it just showed MS Office as a whole.

Isn't there any way I can uninstall/reinstall Outlook itself?

Thats not going to help, as the reinstall will just use the same profile &
data file.
Use the Mail Applet in the control panel to Create a new profile, add a new
data file (NOT the old), add the accounts and test (PS set prompt for
profile)

Thanks alot, DL! That worked! :-)

Your welcome
You should now be able, in Outlook, to open your old data file and delete or
move data (drag & drop) to your new data file

One last question: how do I recover my contacts? I had saved the Contacts
file prior to doing the new profile, but see now that the file hasn't changed
at all -- Contacts is a 32kb file in my back area and the original area, so
don't know what to copy/restore!

Contact are contained within your origonal data file, simply select them all
and paste to your new data file/Contacts folder
