How not to chart data points from formulas

Hi,
I have a chart that plots from a database that contains formulas that return
0 values if corresponding data is not entered into the database. Problem is
when Excel plots the zero values the chart for the year falls right off for
those weeks that have not data. Is there a way to have Excel not plot 0
values-other than not excluding them in the data source? I have tried
custom formatting so the zero values return an empty string or text value
with no success.

Use the NA function in the formula, and the cells won't be plotted as
zero. For example:
=IF(B2="",NA(),B2)

Your worksheet will show #N/A errors which you can hide with conditional
formatting. There are instructions here:
