How much temp. file cache?

Is there a default cache setting in the temporary
internet files "amount of disc space to use" slider bar?
Or could you suggest a setting that would be good? I have
a new system (WinXP)with lots of free space. I think the
setting was at approx. 125MB but I have it at 10MB now
after that was suggested. Thanks!
