how much memory is needed to run powerpoint

i am an A level student doing a coursework related to powerpint i want to
know that how much memory is required in the RAM to run powerpoint.

I suppose, the minimum required to run Windows XP (256 Mo) But I remember
the old time with the very first version of PPT, i had 16 Mo !!!

It depends on (among other things)

- The version of PowerPoint
- The Windows version

And assuming you want to open a presentation in PowerPoint once it's running,
it'd depend on the content of the presentation. Simple text slides don't put
much of a burden on the system, but if you've got movies, animations, big
images, lots of OLE objects, it'll take more memory to handle it all at any
reasonable speed.
