How much detail can you include in a PowerPoint presentation?

Please ask you question in the message area, and not just in the subject
line. You can put as much detail as you want.

As Michael said, you CAN put as much detail as you want. The question is
how much do you want (or better, how much SHOULD you put). This depends a
lot on the audience and the purpose. There is general wisdom called the 7x7
rule that you should only have 7 words across and 7 lines down on the
screen. This "rule" hides a lot of critical details, but it is a good
starting point. Don't think of it as a strict rule, but, instead, ask
yourself for a very good reason for violating it. If all you can come up
with is "I want to put more stuff on the slide," then that is probably not
good enough.
