As Michael said, you CAN put as much detail as you want. The question is
how much do you want (or better, how much SHOULD you put). This depends a
lot on the audience and the purpose. There is general wisdom called the 7x7
rule that you should only have 7 words across and 7 lines down on the
screen. This "rule" hides a lot of critical details, but it is a good
starting point. Don't think of it as a strict rule, but, instead, ask
yourself for a very good reason for violating it. If all you can come up
with is "I want to put more stuff on the slide," then that is probably not
good enough.
