Ok, the admin from kmip.net just announced in a Chinese forum that
their KMS server, sito.kmip.net, for Business Vista activation has closed.
The admin didn't say anything why they shut it down.

Normally, if a piracy issue only occurs in China's local communities, there
shouldn't be any problem.
However if someone brings the issue cross-border, that could be a problem.

I'm glad to see that this illegal KMS server now stop operate. Software
retailers in China just
had a hard time last weekend, worried too much that their pre-sale Vista
could get cancelled by their customers.

However, another 3 to 4 KMS servers from China, now operate to serve the
Chinese community.
This time, they keep low-profile and operate irregularly (maybe online only
few hours in a day, one or two days a week?). One of them is
binbin.xicp.net:1688

My questions is, abusing KMS server can become the main Windows piracy in
the future,
when designing the Volume Activation 2.0, did Microsoft ever think about KMS
server abusing?
Does Microsoft check how many clients have been activated by every KMS
server in a company (especially those in China)?

How come you know??

No, the admin said the KMS server has been closed. but I check the forum,
there's another 40 - 55 members just activate their Vista business edition
against this server in last 2 hours. :)

Janet in a country that can't even protect its citizens against death by
torture, false imprisonment and has a totalitarian government, that throws
people into prison for their web searches and is particularly opressive
towards women's rights, and failed to report in a medically constructive way
to prevent H5N1 pandemic, or to prevent illegal transport of H5N1 protected
birds and refused for years to report HIV and pandemic flu or to
appropriately vaccinate birds against it, what stretch of the imagination
makes you think that there is going to be some kind of "rule of law"
approach to piracy? Empty pledges to Bill Gates over Washington apple cider
at dinner? China has a lot bigger priorities than pirated Vista right now,
and some of them threaten the death of thousands.

Since you appear to be totally obsessed with this, why don't you go to China
and help them out. Unless sitting here whining about it in a tech
newsgroup is your idea of helping.

Do let us know how it all comes out.

YOU have a full time job handling all Mike's problems before you veer into
career planning for others. I'm still looking for your first answer to a
vista related problem in here, but I won't be holding my breath. No where is
an appropriate lable for you.

Have you reported these sources to (e-mail address removed) or
(e-mail address removed)? Why or why not? You seem very concerned about these
pirates.

Which has nothing to do with Vista and is totally OT here.

Don't keep it up Chad.

You didn't post to me and you join many who delusionally gives orders to
people when no one takes your orders. Is there a Mike No where post that
actually deals with a hardware or software issue here, or is your group here
to criticize people instead of work on issues that have anything to do with
a problem posed here?

I don't find much or anything in most cases in the way of help from you,
Frisbee, Simpson. I see a lot of whining and delusional threats and orders.

LOL

Does Microsoft accept reports from non-existent posters?

That's because I haven't issued any orders. A suggestion is not an order.

why not ask Microsoft engineers to investigate the Internet KMS server,
KMS servers are NOT suppose on the Internet.
If Microsoft wants to crack down those illegal Chinese KMS servers, get an
independent team, fly to China and take action ASAP.
Forget about Microsoft (China), some people in Microsoft (China) can't be
trusted

You like American action movies, don't you;-)

MS engineers as pirates... strange...

Microsoft is big enough to look after itself.
