I have a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 AGP video card and I am planning on
installing it in my new MB. The MB says it does not support 3.3v AGP cards
but does support 1.5v and 0.8v cards. Went to nvidia web site, they said
some GeForce cards do and some don't???? Paperwork with card does not say.
Anybody know how to find out?

If memory serves, you cannot physically install a wrong voltage card in a
motherboard that doesn't support it.

I'd look at the card and if you don't find the manufacturer of the card
(not just the GPU) then see if there is a FCC# you can research at
http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/help.html

Otherwise look at the card's keying

Nvidia just makes the graphisc chips that are on the cards, the companies
design their own graphics cards; some follow Nvidia's design specs, some
don't.

To find out anything about the card itself, you'd have to ask the
manufacturer of the card. If you have the invoice, it might say that, if
not, there should be sufficient information on the card itself to identify
it enough to get the rest of the info.

If the card and motherboard are designed correctly, it shouldn't fit if it
won't work. Here's some info:
