I have spent several hours logged onto http://www.papajohn.org/ in the last
few days. Trying to find several answers to my questions, and have found
many. Big Thanks. One of the answers I am looking for is How many (estimated
guess) JPG photos can I import into Movie Maker? Laptop, 60 Gig free at this
time, XP-SP3, 2 meg memory installed. I have nearly 700 photos, 2 video, 1
audio. I would not tie up the group here if I could have found this info on
the web site. Thank you.

There's no hard coded limit...basically, you
are only limited by your system resources.

However...large projects can cause issues...I
would suggest that you create several smaller
projects. Save them in a Movie format (.wmv or
..avi) And reimport them to create the final movie.

I would also suggest that you read the following
articles and take care that the source files you use
are compatible with Movie Maker.

thanks for the thanks...

as John said, there's no specific limit... the more complex a project, the
more memory Movie Maker needs to render the movie. Complexity is determined
by a number of factors... transitons and effects applied to the clips,
audio/music and title overlays, your choice of quality when rendering the
movie (higher quality wmv files need more memory than low quality ones like
email attachments and those heading to YouTube.

If you can't save a movie project, then making it in parts is one of the
things you can do to resolve it.
