How many network cards does Windows 2000 Server support?

Does anyone know how many network cards Win2k supports?
I've looked all over for this and can't find it anywhere.
We want to setup our server in an environment with
multiple networks, and I want to know how many network
cards Win2k server will recognize.

There is no hard coded limit, you will have a physical limitation of how
many NICs you can install in one box. After that you may run into resource
limitations (CPU and memory).
