I don't know if we have the actual figure for an Outlook 2003
folder, since the maximum .PST size is now so much larger than it
was in earlier versions, and the old folder limitations may not
apply now.
Do you have AutoArchiving enabled for the folder in question?
Right-click it, click Properties, then the AutoArchive tab.
