How long to copy 4 gigs off a dvd to a pc ?

Ive got a Pinoneer 109. Just moving some backups back tomy PC's HD.
And i dont know if its me but iam sure it was faster than this.

Its tkainglike 20 minutes. The dvd has many smaller files on it how
long should it take ??


The drive seems to be slowing down and spinning up and random
intervels.

Any ideas ?

Have Nero 6.6 test your read speed on the DVD drive with that disk?
Do you get 16x, 12x, 8x, 4x, 0.3x? What??
I would disconnect from the internet and turn off the AV/Firewall when using the
DVD drive intensely, like for burning or copying.
