How long does it take to transfer a file 20G over a 100mbps line

I think it takes 160 seconds ideally. Do you agree?

20G = 20,000MB = (20,000*8)Mb = 160,000Mb

160,000Mb/100Mbps = 160s

Whip out your calculator. 160,000 / 100 = 1,600, not 160!

In real life, you get transfer speeds of 5..10 MBytes/s.
Your actual transfer time will be 35..65 minutes.
 
As Pegasus says

1,600 seconds but divide by "efficiency of system" at 50 -70 %

so 2300 seconds to 3200 seconds for reasonable system
