Not strictly on topic - but replacement iPod batteries are available these
days, and whilst it is not listed as a user serviceable part, apparently it
is actually quite easy to replace.
My series 3 30Gb device is still running fine after 18 months or so.
I read somewhere else in this group that someone with an IPOD did buy the
replacement battery, spent a lot of time taking it apart and afterwards it
never ran again. He had first contacted a lot of people at Apple including
the chairman and always got same response " buy a new IPOD ". That is why I
posted this question now.
