If and when I can afford a new computer I'll want to get a general-use
printer (not specifically photo quality, although that would be a plus).
Right now I've got a Lexmark Z65 which has a more-or-less straight paper
path and accepts 8 1.2" by up to 17" paper. Are there Canons (or other
brands) that can do this?

The paper path also allows the use of card stock (65 lb. Wassau) which is
very useful, as is being able to select from two types of paper. Any
other brands support this?

The Canon Pixma Pro 9500 & 9000, iX5000 and ix4000 are shown in Canon
publicity as handling paper up to 13 inches by 19 inches, but they are
"A3" type printers as we call them in Europe.

Hi.

Don't know about Canon, but a lot of the Epsons will go up to 44 inches.
