Windows XP Home Edition was not designed to join a domain.
You'll need to upgrade to Windows XP Professional if you need
to join a domain.

No can do. XP Home does not support domain environments. They can access
domain resources, but can not become a member of the domain. You will need
to go upgrade to XP Pro.
