Hi Rob

You need to say which Operating Systems you are using (i.e
Windows 95,98,NT,2000, XP).

The most common problems are The Workgroup names don't
match. Earlier Windows used the default Worgroup called
WORKGROUP, later ones used the default Workgroup MSHOME.
Make sure all the workgroup names are the same.

You need to be using a common protocol on all PC's (such
as TCP/IP) and if you use TCP/IP the PC's need to be in
the same subnet (i.e. 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.3
etc .. are in the same subnet 192.168.0)

Often the network will not browse if you cancel at the
login screen.

Post the additional details about your PC's if one of
these doesnt fix the problem.

Win XP home, which is also on the other 2 computers.

I believe all the workgroup names are MSHOME -- how can I
check this, other than starting up the network
connections wizard and seeing what's in the workgroup
textbox?

I think all the subnets are the same: to check this, you
type IPCONFIG at the command line, right?

I never have a login screen, since I'm the only user.
