My bad.

I played around with SOMETHING and want it back the way it used to
be. I just can't remember what I did.

Before, whenever I had a folder opened, just the name of the folder
appeared on the taskbar. Great...that's the way I like it.

Then I did something and now when a folder is open, the name of the
entire path appears. For example, if the name of the folder was
"House", it used to be that just "House" appeared on the taskbar.
Now, what appears is "C:\Documents and Settings\House" and I don't
like that because if I have several folders open XP shortens what is
shown and I only see "C:\Documen..." and I have no clue what it is.

Anyone know how I can get it back to how I had it before?

I thank you in advance for your attention to this question...

See if this helps.

Go to Control Panel and double click Folder Options.
On the View page of Folder Options, remove the check mark from
the box next to "Display the full path in the title bar".
Click OK.

Good luck
