OK heres the deal. Were talking about XP. After you run
the chkdsk it leaves a log in the Event viewer under
Application called Winlogon. when you open the log you
can send information over the net to get more info on the
log. follow me so far? After doing this it says: Chkdsk
ran on one of the volumes when the computer restarted. A
log file, bootex.log, was created and stored in the root
of the volume. This file states whether Chkdsk
encountered any errors and, if so, whether they were
fixed. how do you view this file? is it important to view
this file?
