I just got the new version of MS Word that comes with Office Standard 2007.
Upon first creating a new document, a large vertical area appeared on the
right side of the document, in which seem to appear comments or indicia of
changes I'm making in the document. It also appears in the printed
documents. I don't want this, at least/especially in my printouts of the
document on which I'm working. It used to be that I could simply choose, in
a single dropdown menu dedicated to the tracking of changes, whether to show
changes onscreen, and/or in the printed document, and whether/how to accept
or reject changes. This was simplicity itself. Now I can't even figure out
what to call this area on the right, can't make it disappear, can't get it
out of my printed documents; and, I can't even figure out how to ask
questions about it within MS Word Help, since I don't even know what to call
it. I also can't even see how to make the ruler atop the document appear.
HELP! (I also have never used this means of online help - how will I know
someone has posted a reply/solution?
