How Does This Work?

I'm struggling to find an answer to this problem. I have a couple of
applications that have been running on vista for about a year and now they
don't work anymore...just like that!
I bought this laptop 18 months ago and it had vista home basic installed on
it already. The application I'm having problems with is Adobe Golive v.6.
My question is...why would the program work for a year and then after all
that time, it doesn't work anymore?
I can understand if it didn't work at all in the first place, then I would
just consider that it won't work with vista, but it makes no sense to me
that it would work at first for a while and then not work anymore. I'm just
thinking that it's a fixable problem because of this. I even clicked on the
properties and selected 'compatabiliy' and tried every OS on the list and
none of them worked.
Any ideas?

The programs probably only had a licence for a year.
This is the case on most laptops.
Go to the websites to see if you can re-register the programs or find
free alternitives.

You are a moron.

Hi,

You're the second person I've run into in the past day or so reporting a
problem with that Adobe product. I would suspect that an update broke
something in the software. It could be a Windows Update or an Adobe one
(Adobe software uses auto-updating in much of their software). You'll need
to contact their support in any case, as if it was a Windows Update, it
means they will need to patch their software (which probably used a routine
that is now blocked or was altered by the update).
