We are looking at implementing LT Auditor + on our
network. We use Windows 2000 workstations and Windows 2003
on servers.
Can anyone give us some advice as to the implications of
implementing LT Auditor + on the network.

Helen,

How many servers do you have? What will you be auditing?
Are you completely a Microsoft shop, or do you have any
Netware? One thing which we discovered is that for our 400
servers, we needed a _very_ powerful server to run the
collector on, as LT is resource intensive in terms of CPU
and especially memory. Plan on at least 1 Gig RAM and a
dual processor server.

In terms of network traffic / bandwidth utilization, LT
seems very efficient. We are pleased with it so far.
Agents running on servers do not consume much in the way
of local resources.

Hello, all,

I have found that LT Auditor (W2K) v8.0 can be VERY resource intensive
unless you use the High Utilization patch. Otherwise you may be at 100% CPU
utilization often. Also, become very familiar with the Event ID numbers for
W2K because if you need to customize your reports, and do not use LTAs
report format, you'll need this info. If you need more info I'd be more
than happy to share my experiences.
