Does anyone know the method IE uses to determine which JVM to use? I
can't find this anywhere. We're having a problem with multiple JVM's,
but I don't know how IE is picking the one it's using.

Thanks!

Hi, Mike!

Thanks for the feedback, but in our situation we have the Sun Java VM
1.4.2 and an older Sun 1.1.8 JVM. One one machine (with the Sun 1.4.2
disabled) it uses the 1.1.8 JVM correctly. On another similar machine,
we can't get it to stop using the 1.4.2.

Thanks again!

How many entries in the add/remove Programs via the control panel do you
have for the Sun versions?
1 for 1.4.2
1 for 1.1.8???

Hi Sean - Explore the Java Control Panel applet in your Control Panel.
There is usually a setting which will allow you to pick the one to be used
(or alternatively to enable/disable the various versions, depending on which
particular version of the Sun Java console you have installed. On my
Win2kPro system it's on the Java tab under JNLP Runtime Settings.)
