I have a situation using Windows 2000 Server with
Terminal Services and Citrix Metaframe Presentation
server 3.0. To completely lock down the desktop so that
the users get only one icon, we are using a combination
of Group Policy and Mandatory profiles. Long story short,
the GPO was changed yesterday and since then the desktop
now has the Internet Explorer icon on it along with other
options not previously seen. I know that the GPO is still
locking the server down and the users are using their
mandatory profile. I have tried refreshing the policy.
rebooting the servers, etc. One last bit of information,
days prior to this I had to temporarily setup a user with
local admin priviledges in order to solve a printing
problem. During that time, the desktop was still locked
down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
