I need to send someone a screenshot and I was wondering
how to do that. Do I need a separate program for that and
if I do, where do I get it?

Tap the print screen key, then open clipboard. You can then save the clipboard
and can send the saved file.

Get to the screen you want, hold down the ALT key and
press the Print Screen key at the same time. Then go to
Word or Paint or , select Edit from the top menu and click
on Paste. Save the file and send it to the person who
needs it.

Easy way is to hit the "print screen" button, then load Paint (start / all
programs / accessories / paint) and then click edit / paste. You can then
save this as a JPEG and email it.

There should be a key by scroll lock
with Screen, Scr or the like. Press it, that takes a snapshot of the
screen.(You may need to do shift-screen),
then go to your picture viewer (I love IRFANVIEW, free)and press
paste. And it should be there.

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard (iow, into RAM). To view the screen capture, open a
graphics program, such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will
paste the contents of the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open
file, and allow you to view it or save it as a file for later use.
