My resume bled over to a second page, but now I have it
all fitting on one page but I can't get rid of that now
blank second page. Help.

Display the formatting information - CTRL+* - select the final paragraph
mark ¶ and format it as 1pt or hidden.

If you've used Word's résumé template/wizard, your résumé is formatted as a
table. Word requires a plain text paragraph (even if empty) at the end of a
document, and this is what is causing your résumé to spill over to the
second page. For a single-page document, the easiest fix is to decrease the
bottom margin, but methods that will stand you in good stead for a document
of any length are to (a) select the paragraph and format it as 1 pt (both
font size and line spacing) or, if that does not suffice, format it as
Hidden. In order to select the paragraph, you will probably need to see it;
you can press Ctrl+* or click on the Show/Hide ¶ button on the Standard
toolbar to display nonprinting characters. If you make the text Hidden, the
extra page will not disappear until you hide nonprinting characters again.
