When setting up a scheduled recording how to you configure MMC to shut
down the TV after the recording is finished?

I have it set up to mute when recording. So what happens is at the
appropriate time MMC launches and begins recording with volume muted.
When it finishes the scheduled recording the TV stays on, and worse
the audio comes on. I have to manually turn things off.

I want it to turn on... make the recording while muting the volume and
then turn off when finished. And if there is something else to record
later on, then come back on for that, and then turn off when finished.
Just like a VCR.

What do I need to set up to accomplish this?

thanks,

Not sure of which version I have, but in the scheduling setup there is a
checkbox to shut off the TV after recording.

If you tick the box to close MMC after completion of the recording it
will close but only after a few seconds (with sound).

Suggest you leave your speakers turned down or off.
