How do you setup a range of ports to open?

I do not see how to open a range of ports in XP Professional. I know how to
open ports one by one but how can I set a range like 20000 - 20100 for
example?

Open them? A program would probably "open" them to listen on them. I don't
believe you can just leave them open without anything listening... I'm
guessing your talking about opening them through the firewall software. If
you go to network settings there is an option there to setup the firewall.
You will probably have to enable them one by one.
