How Do you set default viewer in XP Home Edition?

I am trying to use USPS Shipping Assistant, but when I want to see an image of the mailing label I created, the program tells me that I can't because there is no viewer assigned....and I can't find a place to do that in Shipping Assistant. Can I set a default viewer within XP so that anytime a viewer is needed, it will use that one?

Right-click a Shipping Assistant file, properties, opens with... change, browse to
the program that will open it.

What you need to do is right click on a file and then choose "open with" You will then be presented with a list of programs, one will be apropriate for your file, if not then choose to browse to the program you wish to us to open your files. To make it the default program to open your chosen file, then you will see a box to tick in the bottom left hand corner. Thats it, simple really.
