How do you retrieve a deleted file in FrontPage?

I have deleted a file I now need. It did not go to my recycle bin. Can it
be retrieved?

If it's not in the recycle bin, probably not. If the file was deleted and
you did absolutely nothing that involved writing to the disk, there's a
chance, but every little action that writes to the disk has a possibility of
over-writing some sector that the file was on. There used to be a command
called undelete as part of the dos shell that would let you try to find
deleted files, but it was removed some time ago. You could try to run a
search on google for undelete programs that could help (try to find a
trialware from a reputable company to avoid adware), but the more time
elapsed and the more things you do on the computer the greater the chance
that it's being over-writen.

Only if you have a backup copy - is there a version on the live site you
could download?
When you delete from FrontPage, files are gone forever.

I believe that once a file is deleted from within Frontpage, it is gone for
good - unfortunately.

The best thing is to have a back up or two.
