I know this is going to be a simple "look in the options dummy" RTFM
kind of answer, but I can't figure out how to QUIT outlook! The only
way I have been able to end the program is to kill it in the Task
Manager. Help?

Thanks

click on the x in the upper right corner to close it?

if you are, and it doesn't disappear from the task list within a minute or
two, you have something running that keeps it open. known culprits includes
fax software, activesync (especially if you don't remove it from the cradle
before closing outlook) and any other application that accesses outlook
data.

I am also having this problem and I am using ActiveSync 3.7 and now 3.7.1.
Is there anything I can do? This is really annoying. Thanks!

Hi Dan,

as long as the activesnyc is running and your handheld is in the docking
station your outlook.exe is running. Remove your handheld and Outlook will
be terminated.

The problem is I do remove my handheld but it still is running. I have the
registry hack to minimize it to the system tray. could that be causing any
of these problems? Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it.
