I'm just learning PowerPoint and I've seen a presentation that has some
movement in it. It was a train and it showed wheels moving and smoke from
the smokestack.

Dear User,

Assuming that you are a beginner, you can put movement in a presentation by
using Custom Animation from Slide Show Menu or right clicking on the object
on your slide. For more detailed knowledge visit this page

Hope all these will be helpful.

Custom Animation allows some movement, but I think what you saw was an
animated GIF. There are certain kinds of pictures that have animation
built-in. Usually, these are a series of 3 or 4 pictures put together to
make a brief animation sequence. The Office clip-art has some of these
(supplemented by Clips Online), you can find animated GIFs all over the
Internet, and you can use tools to build them yourself.
