How do you prevent archive flag from being set?

I need a way to set auditing on a file without the archive bit being set. My boss seems to think that only being able to do this on Fridays is not good enough. The problem is that it kicks off a full backup of the system during the week.

I doubt you can since you are altering the SACLs for the file. IOW
"modified". Why not just add a ATTRIB -a statement to the batch.
