How do you prevent all meetings being set up on a reoccurance basi

Every time I set up a meeting in 2007 Outlook, it is defaulted to reoccur
every week. When I press the reoccurance button, the Remove Reoccurance
option is grayed out. How do I remove this default setting?

Do you have a Dell? Dell adds a program called Outlookaddinsetup to its PCs
that have that effect. It's not Outlook doing it. Use Add/Remove Programs
to look for that applicaztion and uninstall it.

I do have a Dell laptop and uninstalled the outlookaddinsetup program but
it has not fixed the issue.

You rebooted after the uninstall? It won't fix existing appointments, but
it should prevent new ones from getting the recurrence.
