How do you place a printable backgroud into a word document?

How do you place a printable backgroud into a word document? I tried using a
theme and it looks good but the background colurs wont print...

Since this suggests you don't have Word 2002 or 2003 (which have the Format
| Background | Printed Watermark command), see “HOW TO: Create a Watermark
in Word 97 and in Microsoft Word 2000†at
