Is there any way to password protect all of your files and
folders on your hard drive? If so will you tell me how
please? Thank you. I really appreciate it. Take care.

Windows 2000 uses ntfs file permissions which can control access to files at
various levels based on user or group membership permissions. Anyone in the
administrators group however can gain access to files they do not have
access permissions to by taking ownership. W2k also has EFS file encryption
capability on ntfs volumes, though while it can secure files should not be
used until all risks are thoroughly understood including the concept of the
recovery agent and how to back up your certificate/private key. --- Steve
