How do you make something fit in one cell?

How do you make something fit in one cell?

For example, I type something longer than the cell (in
A1) "Microsoft Excel". As a result, it goes on to the
adjacent cell (B1). How can I make the cell adjust to the
length of the word just limiting the words in A1? I want
the "height" of the cell to adjust rather than the width.
