How do you increase the number of characters in an embedded hyperlinkin outlook?

I'm trying to find out how to increase the number characters that can
be embedded in a hyperlink in outlook or outlook express.

What is happening is that if the hyperlink is too long, the remaining
characters are truncated and put on a separate line, not attached to
the hyperlink.

Clicking on the modified hyperlink gives you an error saying it cannot
be found.

I found the answer to this years ago and it was a registry
modification. Unfortunately, I can't remember where the modification
was.

Any help would be appreciated.
