I am working on a desktop migration project and would like to be able to
migrate / transfer the Internet Explorer plug-ins from one machine and put
them on the new machine rolled out.

Any idea how I should approach this?

Thanks,

Plug-ins is basically a Netscape term. With IE, it can mean either BHOs
(Browser Helper Objects) or ActiveX controls - the latter being in the
Downloaded Programs Files folder accessible via Tools...Internet
Options...General tab, Settings, View Objects, and the former being
accessible in IE via Tools...Manage Add-ons. BHOs can be installed all over
the place and you'll need to also migrate their associated registry entries.
So, this is a problematic task. How about setting up a machine just the way
you want it, with all the associated ActiveX and BHOs installed and just do
an image?

If you are managing IE over several users or on a network, the IEAK would be
very helpful in this task:
