how do you hyperlink to a specific page in a pdf file

I want to hyperlink to a pdf file and then go to a specific page (say page
5). Hyper link to the pdf file is no problem (www.website.com/file.pdf), but
then what? I think it should look like this (with corrected syntax)
www.website.com/file.pdf#page5 . What is the proper syntax for the page?

try page=5 (add the equals sign). Ex:

file.pdf#page=5
