Elaborate on when it tries to connect to www.popuppers.com

Does it do this by starting IE and going to the site while you are still
booting up? Or does it go to that site when you, yourself start IE?

I had the same problem. I unistalled my AVG Pro antivirus and
installed F-Secure. This antivirus resolved my problem.

Approx. 1 minute after booting up it automatically connects to the internet,
if I disable the auto connect option a window comes up saying something like
'the page you are trying to connect to requires a connect. do yopu want to
connect' or something like that!!

Do you have a dialup internet connection?

For any future problems please provide the EXACT error message, otherwise
you may not get the solution you need.

First, Update Ad-aware, the latest reference file should be 01R303
08.05.2004, and perform another full system scan

Second, There is a new version of Spybot S&D recently released which can
detect many new types of spyware and it also finds some spyware components
that Ad-Aware does not.

Spybot S&D 1.3: http://majorgeeks.com/download2471.html

Note: Uninstall the old version of Spybot before installing the new one.
