I have written a small program to help my daughter learn Latin. Her school
are impressed with it and wish to distribute it to other pupils.

The program is in Access97, is there a way that I can give the program to
others if they do not have Access already installed on their machines.?

I seem to remember you needed to buy a special version that would enable you
to do this. If so is it still available for this version (anyone got a copy
they do not use that I could buy from them.) and is it difficult to use.

Are there any other options.

with thanks
Bob

The "program" you need is the Developer Edition.
I don't think you'll find it for Access 97 in the stores, but you might try
e-Bay or others like it.

As long as you don't need to do anything fancy (include extra files, create
shortcuts other than on the Start menu, etc), it works pretty much like a
wizard, stepping you through the process.

You'll come out with 3 files, which together make an installation package.
Put them together in a directory on your target machine (this can be on a CD
you burn), and execute the one named Setup.exe. Your MDB (or MDE) file will
be copied to the new machine, and if needed a runtime version of Access will
be installed.
