How do you delete a cell without going Table>Select>Cell then
Table>Delete>Cell - phew!

All those right-click options but no method to delete?

The easiest way is probably to customise your toolbar and add the buttons you
want.

Choose Tools, Customize then click on the Commands tab.

Scroll down until you see the Table command in the left hand portion of the
dialog.

Select the command Delete Cell and drag it onto your tolbar.
Do the same with the command Select.
Click on OK then close the Customize dialog.

Use your new buttons to select the cell(s) you want then click on the delete
cell button

I usually use the following method.First, click View | Quick Tag Selector.
You will now have the tags showing above your web page and below the tab
showing the page name. This only should need to be done once. Now click once
inside the cell you want to delete. Hover over the tag labeled <td>. The
cell should have the border highlighted. Click the tag once to select the
cell and hit the delete key.

Make sure the cell you want to delete is the only one selected before
hitting delete. This can get confusing when you have tables inside tables
(nested).

I'm sure there are a dozen or more different ways to do this. You only need
to find one that suits you.

Are you confirming that clicking in a cell and then choosing
Table>Select>Cell is the only/best way to select a cell - I thought it was
just my ignorance - worse than i thought

In MS Word it's on right-click menu (no need to select) - seems rather
careless omission - no way this could added to FP right-click?
